One person was shot and killed while shopping at a market in Chester City Wednesday, May 4, authorities said.

The victim was apparently inside the KNF Market on West 3rd Street when he was shot around 10 a.m., Chester City police said.

The shooter has been identified as Muhammad McBride, 18, and an arrest warrant has been issued for him, Chester City Captain Matthew P. Goldschmidt told Daily Voice.

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear.
